I seem to be seeing more split ends in my hair: what can I do?

Split ends are one of the most common problems for those not using the correct brush!

A brush with hard bristles will pull the hair while trying to get rid of the knots. Too much tugging and pulling tend to split or fracture the hair, not only on the ends of the hair but also along the follicle (shaft) of the hair itself.

Split ends cannot be healed or fixed after splitting… they must grow out or be cut out.

It is therefore essential to use a brush with very flexible bristles like The Knot Dr. Pro or Pro Mini. They detangle without pulling the hair, eliminating most of the split ends over time.

Note: split ends can also develop by using non-coated elastics or extreme heat on your hair while straightening or blow drying.
